Your Questions, Answered
I know these questions are being asked at a difficult time. If you have any other worries – no matter how small – please don't hesitate to email me. I’m here to help.

Yes, there are many automated, one-click services available. But they rely on machine learning to guess what your companion looked like, often resulting in imagery that is technically "not bad," but ultimately hollow. An algorithm can’t understand the bond you shared; it can only calculate pixels. At One More Day, I don't use "one-click" processing. I use digital tools as a starting point, but the heart of the work – the mood, the clarity, and the final soul of the portrait – is finished by a human eye. You aren't paying for an algorithm; you are commissioning a tribute to your pet that has been cared for.

No, I am happy to create a tribute for any companion you wish to remember. Whether it is a cat, a horse, a rabbit, or any other beloved friend, the process remains the same. As long as you have a clear photograph that captures their spirit, I can create a tribute that honours their memory.
-
The best photos are those taken in natural light, where your companion’s eyes are clear and in focus. I always recommend uploading your original, high-resolution file rather than a screenshot from social media, as original files contain the detail I need to create a beautiful portrait. Don’t worry, though—I personally review every image. If I feel a different photo would yield a better result, I will reach out to you directly before I start.

If you only have a physical photograph, you can still create a beautiful tribute. You can use a free app like Google PhotoScan or simply take a high-quality, well-lit photo of the print with your phone. Ensure there is no glare on the surface of the photo, and try to take the picture in natural, indirect daylight. If you’re unsure, feel free to email me the photo first, and I can let you know if it will work.

Because each piece is hand-finished and curated by me, I typically deliver your digital files within 3–5 days of receiving your order. If I need to contact you regarding your photo choice, that timeframe may extend slightly, but I will keep you updated throughout the process.

I understand that grief can feel urgent, and I always strive to complete tributes as quickly as possible. My standard turnaround is 3–5 days. If you have a specific date – such as a memorial gathering – approaching, please mention this in your order form or email me directly, and I will do my absolute best to accommodate your timeline.
-
Absolutely not. Grief doesn't have a calendar, and the love for a companion doesn't fade with time. Whether you lost your friend last week or many years ago, the bond remains the same. If you still find yourself missing them, I would be honoured to help you bring that memory back into focus. All I need is a cherished photograph and their details, and we can create a tribute that keeps their light alive.

I use advanced digital tools as my "canvas" – they help me reimagine your photo in a serene, memorial setting. However, I am not a batch-processor. Once the digital foundation is set, I personally refine the details, colour-correct the mood, add or remove elements, and hand-finish the final image. You are commissioning a tribute to your pet that has been reviewed and perfected by a human eye.

My focus at One More Day is exclusively on honouring the spirit and memory of your companion. I have found that a dedicated, singular portrait creates the most timeless and serene tribute. For this reason, I do not include people in my portraits.
-
I specialize in high-resolution, still memorial portraits. My process is designed to create a piece of art that invites quiet reflection and can be displayed beautifully in your home. I don't produce video or animated tributes.
-
My goal is to create a tribute that brings you peace. Because I personally review every order, I work to ensure your vision is met. If the final portrait doesn't feel right, please reach out – I am always happy to discuss how we can adjust the tribute to better honour your companion.

At this stage, One More Day is a digital-first studio. By focusing exclusively on high-definition digital tributes, I can ensure a faster turnaround and give you total control over how you choose to display your portrait.
You will receive your tribute in professional, high-resolution formats that are more than adequate for any print – whether you choose to order a custom frame from a local specialist, print it onto canvas, or even display it directly through your phone or a digital photo frame. I may expand to offer physical keepsakes in the future if there is significant demand, but for now, my focus is on delivering the highest quality digital artwork possible.
